The RFI systems can increase horsepower and torque by opening up the stock air intake. By removing the stock airbox and replacing it with a metal heat shield and using a conical air filter we can maximize the air filter cleaning area there hence allowing the engine to breathe easier and produce more horsepower. All of our RFI intakes use a lifetime reusable 4 layer cotton gauze filter that features an inverted cone design on the end of the filter, by using this inverted cone we are able to get even more surface area of filter media. This combined with the deep pleats that our filter uses make these filters ideal for high performance use. The installation of these systems simple is very easy and requires only very basic hand tools.
